Family Recipe
It all started in 1998 when founder Marco Bellini carried his grandmother's treasured pizza recipe from Naples, Italy to the heart of Madison Heights, Michigan. With nothing more than a worn recipe card, a wood-fired oven, and an unshakeable belief in real ingredients, Green Lantern Pizza opened its doors.
What began as a modest 12-table restaurant quickly became the neighborhood's favorite gathering spot. Word spread fast — the hand-tossed crust, the slow-simmered sauce, the generous toppings. Within two years, lines stretched down John R Road every Friday night.
Today, we serve thousands of satisfied guests each week, but our commitment remains unchanged: every pizza is made by hand, every ingredient is sourced fresh, and every guest leaves feeling like family.

1998
The Beginning
Marco Bellini opens Green Lantern Pizza on John R Road with 12 tables, a wood-fired oven, and his grandmother's century-old Neapolitan recipe.
2003
First Award
Green Lantern wins "Best Pizza in Oakland County" for the first time — a recognition we've earned nearly every year since.
2008
Major Expansion
Overwhelmed by demand, we renovate and triple our dining room capacity. The new kitchen introduces a second wood-fired oven and a full catering program.
2013
Delivery Launch
We launch our dedicated delivery service, bringing authentic Green Lantern pizza directly to homes and offices across Madison Heights and beyond.
2019
Digital Ordering
